I saw these metal candle holder things in Poundland last week and thought "they'd be good as part of the table decor for the wedding. But it would be ridiculous to buy wedding things as we've not even set a date let alone booked a venue". So I didn't buy them. Then I kicked myself. They were £1. £1!!! So I went back two days later. And they only had murky green ones left but I bought them all up anyway as I can spray paint them the colours I want then.
I want my table centres to look like the ones in the pictures below (from greenweddingshoes.com and moredesignplease.com). I have a whole Pinterest board devoted to what I want my wedding to look like. It's a shame I can't find anywhere to host it. Places either don't have the right look, are too expensive or are too far away. I begrudge paying £30 a head for food on top of the venue hire. If anyone knows anywhere in the Leicester/shire area that is quite plain for decorating, has room for a band and around 75 people to sit down to eat with the option to self cater then let me know.
