The first, cross stitched rose on the laser cut wooden pendant I got from Etsy yonks ago, and the second, the long awaited beaded braid using the tutorial
here. I originally wanted to do it using coral beads but I haven't been able to locate any the right colour AND shape so far, so periwinkle blue it was. And a quick word to the wise: buy more of the little calotte things than you need as you will break them and then may end up having to wait a week for more to come in the post too.
